Neck Lift
Facial and neck aging is a common process and affects men and women. Sometimes, the tissues of the face and neck are affected differently and the neck ages at a greater rate than the face. The result is disharmony between the lower face and neck. Dr. Cynthia M. Gregg can use a neck lift to remove excess adipose tissue and tighten the loose skin and muscles of the neck, thereby rejuvenating and refreshing the contour of your neck.
As a double board certified facial plastic and otolaryngology head and neck surgeon, Dr. Cynthia M. Gregg is exceptionally well trained to perform neck lift procedures for both men and women. She regularly performs neck lift surgeries for patients in Cary, Raleigh, the surrounding areas of North Carolina and across the nation.
Neck lift surgery is performed in our fully accredited surgery center under intravenous sedation and usually takes from two to four hours depending on the extent of the surgery. A light compression dressing is placed at the end of the procedure and is worn for 24 hours. Patients can expect swelling and bruising around the site of the surgery, which both typically resolve after the first 1 to 2 weeks. Scar formation is minimal; Dr. Cynthia M. Gregg uses the most advanced techniques to hide all incisions and limit the size of the incisions. Makeup and skin care regimens can be resumed 10 days after surgery. Patients usually have minimal downtime of 1-2 weeks before returning to work. We ask those patients traveling from out of town to stay for the first night following surgery.
A consultation with Dr. Cynthia M. Gregg can help you decide if this is the right surgery for you.
