Facial and neck aging is a complicated process involving changes to the skin, volume loss of the soft tissues of the face, relaxation of the fibrous/muscular tissues, descent of the soft tissues of the forehead, descent of the soft tissues of the brows, descent of the soft tissues of the face, and volume reduction of the facial bones. Sun exposure, genetics, stress, environmental factors, and weight loss can make these changes more apparent. The result is the formation of rhytids (wrinkles) and laxity (looseness) in the skin, loss of cheek volume, jowl formation, collection of adipose tissue (fat tissues) under the chin and neck, bands in the neck and loose neck skin. CYNTHIA GREGG MD, FACE & BODY SPECIALISTS uses Ultherapy®, a new non-surgical method to reverse this condition for patients in Cary, Raleigh, the surrounding areas of North Carolina, and across the nation. Ultherapy® uses microfocused ultrasound energy to lift, tone and tighten loose skin in areas around the brow, neck, cheek, jawline, and décolletage.

Benefits of Ultherapy®
Ultherapy® enhances your appearance by lifting and tightening the treatment areas. It returns elasticity to the skin leaving it looking firmer and younger. Ultherapy® is a non-surgical option with no downtime and only minimal discomfort after your treatment.
How is Ultherapy® performed?
Ultherapy® uses ultrasound technology that can precisely target areas of loose skin and soft tissues around the brow, neck, cheek, jawline, and décolletage to gradually tone and tighten these areas. Ultherapy® is the only FDA approved non-surgical treatment to lift and tighten skin and to improve lines and wrinkles on the chest. The microfocused ultrasound energy delivered deep beneath the skin stimulates the production of new collagen.
During an Ultherapy® procedure, a handpiece allows our clinical staff to visualize the tissue beneath the skin to deliver tiny deposits of focused ultrasound energy at the correct treatment depth.
The non-invasive procedure takes between 1 and 2 hours, depending upon the areas of treatment, and there is no recovery time.
Minimal Side Effects and Downtime
Side effects are usually minimal and may include redness at the treatment site and mild bruising in some cases. Some patients have reported a slight swelling and tingling around the treated area, but it is mild and temporary. There are no restrictions in activities after Ultherapy®.
