/  Blog   /  Why Buying Skincare Products, In Office, is Better Than Online

With so many skincare products available online, it can be tempting to purchase your favorite products through a quick Google search, Amazon, or another third-party retailer. While online shopping offers convenience, there are important reasons why purchasing your skincare directly through your provider’s office is the better choice: even better than purchasing directly from the vendors themselves.

While buying from the vendors themselves is the “safest” online option, it is important to consider the unrealized losses. Rewards programs such as Allē, Premiere Points, and Aspire, which reward patients for purchasing from our office, do not apply to products purchased online. These rewards perks accumulate and provide savings on future purchases. In addition, vendor prices are listed as much as 15% higher online making your in office purchases more cost effective.

Beyond monetary savings, one of the biggest advantages of purchasing skincare directly from your aesthetic practice is knowing where your products come from. Third-party online marketplaces can have multiple sellers, and not all are authorized retailers. This can make it difficult to verify how products were stored, handled, or transported. In some cases, products may be expired, improperly stored, counterfeit, or otherwise compromised. Purchasing directly from your provider’s office gives you greater confidence that you are receiving authentic products sourced through established distribution channels.

More importantly, when you purchase through your provider’s office, you have access to professionals who understand your skin and can help guide your selections, while maintaining continuity. Even the highest-quality skincare products may not deliver the desired results if they are used incorrectly. Purchasing through your provider’s office allows you to ask questions, understand application instructions, and receive guidance on how to incorporate new products into your existing routine.

Furthermore, if you receive aesthetic or surgical treatments, your skincare routine is an important part of your overall treatment plan. Rather than piecing together a routine on your own, purchasing through your provider helps ensure that your at-home skincare and in-office treatments work together. Professional skincare can help prepare the skin before procedures, support the skin during recovery, and maintain results over time. Your provider can recommend products that align with your treatment timeline and individual needs.

Skincare is not a one-size-fits-all process, and having professional guidance can make a meaningful difference. Beautiful skin starts with the right products, the right guidance, and a plan tailored to you.
