Dr. Wu recently attended the Editorial Board Meeting of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal in Dallas. She serves as Lead Next Generation Editor for the Journal. She made a presentation on the use of live video conferencing and social media for bringing together thought leaders in aesthetic plastic surgery and younger surgeons (young attendings, fellows, residents) in disseminating current aesthetic surgery research. She has had an interest in research since she was in medical school and continues that now in private practice. Through her teaching experience and extensive research, she has contributed valuable insight to her aesthetic plastic surgery community and has been awarded a number of grants to pursue research in her field. “I enjoyed presenting on social media and live virtual journal clubs during the ASJ retreat.
