Dr. Wu participated in the Allergan Surgical Solutions Symposium on November 5th and 6th in Las Vegas. This symposium is a weekend course for surgeons focused on challenging cases in aesthetic breast surgery. She lectured on complicated breast cases, fat grafting, US protocols in breast surgery, and patient management and proctored a cadaver lab. In the cadaver lab, Dr. Wu demonstrated a totally submuscular augmentation mastopexy technique that she has been incorporating in her surgeries, providing superior longevity to traditional dual plane submuscular augmentation. This new technique, created by Dr. Holly Wall, will be invaluable for the attending physicians and their patients. Dr. Wu’s invitation to instruct and proctor fellow plastic surgeons is an honor that demonstrates her commitment to sharing knowledge and training with other surgeons. She was one of only six surgeons nationwide selected to lecture at this symposium and the only female surgeon on the panel.
