A. Patients often ask me where we will perform their surgery, who will be in the OR with them, and why we choose to provide most of our surgeries in our office’s fully accredited procedural suite.
Patient safety and comfort are our priority when we schedule an aesthetic procedure. In our office, we can control who is in the room for each surgery. Our patients come to our office where they are familiar, and it is a discreet setting. It is also less expensive for elective procedures outside a hospital. The AAAHC accreditation of our procedural suite is renewed every 3 years, and it tells you that the AAAHC’s independent team of healthcare professionals has evaluated us and found that we meet their rigorous, nationally recognized standards for quality healthcare services. This voluntary accreditation gives you an extra measure of confidence that shows you that our most important responsibility is to ensure our patients receive the best care in the safest environment possible.
Anesthesia is provided by board-certified anesthesia specialists who are highly qualified in office-based surgical anesthesia. Dr. Gregg and I have handpicked and vetted a core group of skilled and compassionate CRNAs to work with us. Surgical anesthesia is tailored to the surgeon’s and patient’s needs in every procedure.
Assisting your surgeon is a Certified Surgical Technologist and a Registered Nurse. Both of these positions are filled by Practice staff members who are highly trained in their roles. Recovery is closely monitored in our post-surgical suite, with discharge approved by the nurse and your surgeon. Your caregiver will receive explicit instructions for your post-surgical care at home, and our staff will always be available to answer calls once you are home. Your initial follow-up appointment will be scheduled before your surgery and is generally within 1-7 days after surgery, depending on the procedure.
Patient comfort and safety are hallmarks of our Practice, and our entire staff is committed to that goal. Dr. Gregg and I are happy to consult with you regarding aesthetic surgery and can discuss your anticipated surgery in more depth. Call our office to schedule a consultation with either of us.
