Juvéderm® Voluma® XC is the first and only hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler FDA-approved for treating moderate to severe temple hollows. The results have been shown to last for up to 13 months.

The temple area is commonly overlooked by many injectors, which is a surprise when you consider the benefits and visual impact. The temples are one of the first areas of the face to lose volume, which results in a gaunt, aged appearance. Bone loss, in addition to fat loss, causes a concave, hollowed-out structure that becomes noticeable. Adding volume to the temples provides softening and plumping of the hollow, improving the appearance in the area between the cheeks, hairline, and brow. Filler to the temple brings that area of the face back into symmetry.

A small needle is used to inject filler under the skin, just above the bone, and into the temple area. The results are immediately noticeable, with improvement over a couple of weeks as the product integrates fully into the skin. There can be minor swelling or bruising, but typically, downtime is minimal.
