Over the past 20 years, there has been a significant increase in nonsurgical aesthetic procedures, particularly injectables. That has been a beneficial trend IF injected appropriately with the right filler, in the right place, in the right amount, on the right patient. If any of those variables are off, undesirable results can occur. I’m happy to see that the overfilled shelf-like cheeks, duck lips, and overall “pillow face” are all going out of fashion. I honestly don’t know why people thought those looks were desirable in the first place!
I believe the “pendulum swing” from extreme volumes to subtle enhancements is desirable for patients and is what our nurse injectors have always strived to provide. The best compliment I can receive for the work I have done for my patients is when they tell me their friends say how refreshed they look, but can’t put their finger on what was done. Our practice is renowned for delivering natural-looking results in all our treatments. We want you to look natural and refreshed, never “different”, “done”, or “unnatural”.
Many Hollywood celebrities are now undergoing procedures to remove excessive filler, aiming to return to a more natural appearance. hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase; however, this is not an ideal situation. We can avoid this by starting with a natural look; it is easy to add slightly more to an area than to reduce too much. It is essential to have a conversation with your injector about what product is best for you, where it will be placed, and how much you will need to get the best results. We want to partner with you for natural aesthetic results.
Along with a more natural aesthetic, another exciting trend is a greater focus on skincare, both with products to use at home and treatments in our office that help address your skin concerns to reveal your natural radiance. They work in tandem with injectables, lasers, microneedling, skincare treatments, and surgery to give you the best results. These approaches work well to address fine lines, skin texture and tone, hyperpigmentation, and dull complexion. The result, when you work with our team of nurse injectors, aestheticians, and physicians, is a natural, radiant, and glowing appearance without the need for reversal procedures.
Please call our office to schedule a consultation with one of our clinical providers or physicians to learn more about options to restore a refreshed, natural appearance.
